We represent the liquidator of the above Company and
have received his instructions to approach you on an important
matter full particulars of which will be found in the cuttings
from Shanghai newspapers which we enclose for your kind perusa).
We may say we are prepared to vouch for the integrity of the
parties responsible for these particulars several of whom have
been know to us personally for many years.
It is obvious that if you, approval of the Indemnity
Ordinance 1922 passed by the Hongkong Goverment wes necessary
and was obtained you could not possibly have been placed in possession of the full facts and that in such event, you will
deaire to make careful investigation into the whole circum- stances of the case with a view to seeing that justice is done
to the Company concem ed.
